Exhibit of Posters “IMAGES OF CRIMES AGAINST HUMANITY AND GENOCIDE: PHOTOS OF THE UNJUSTIFIED RUSSIAN INVASION OF UKRAINE - 2022” Opened at the Spiritual Center of the UOC of the USA

On the 186th day of the brutal war instigated by the Russian Federation against the people of Ukraine, an exhibit portraying images of the destruction of cities and towns due to Russian aggression, opened on the grounds of the Spiritual Center of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the USA, in South Bound Brook, N.J.

During the official opening of the exhibit, which is located on the grounds in front of the St. Andrew Memorial Chapel, Archbishop Daniel stated, “Years ago, when this church was still being built, the leaders of the UOC of USA, of blessed memory, spoke of the lives of the Ukrainians who are buried in the cemetery (religious, cultural, and political figures) – even though their voices were silent, the rustling of the leaves throughout the cemetery proclaimed on their behalf, that during the years of Soviet occupation, the Ukrainian Orthodox Church had the right to exist; that the Ukrainian people have the right to their own independent nation, and have the right to pray and speak in their native language…

The years have passed, and before us we see 52 plaques, photos of destroyed cities and towns, of faces of people who have lost not only material goods, but often their very lives.  They are no longer able to speak to us, they remain silent…

These 52 panels speak on their behalf to us and to the entire world, testifying of the evil Russia has perpetrated against Ukraine, against humanity – causing the latest genocide Ukrainians must endure at the hands of Russia.  Look at these images, become witnesses to these crimes, tell all the people of good will how evil tries to destroy good; but, also how goodness will never be conquered by evil.

Today we pray to the Source of Goodness, Almighty God, for the wellbeing of our Ukrainian nation; for peace, harmony, and the safety of our soldiers who so bravely defend our freedom and the independence of Ukraine; and who protectively enshroud the life of each Ukrainian with the freedom-loving flag of the Ukrainian people – the blue and gold flag of Ukraine!”

With the blessing of Metropolitan Antony, and the participation of the local clergy, having concluded his opening statement, Archbishop Daniel served a Moleben for the people of Ukraine, especially the defenders of Ukraine.

At the conclusion of the service, the Consul General of Ukraine, in New York, the Honorable Oleksii Holubov, addressed the people, inviting all Ukrainians living in the United States of America, to be the bearers of Truth, and to assist the Ukrainian nation in her continuing battle for freedom and independence.

As the air filled with prayerful songs, traditional and new music of Ukraine, several hundred people who were present for the service dispersed among the panels, witnessing the horrors inflicted upon Ukraine by Russia.

Every day, hundreds of local citizens, stop by to view the exhibit at the Metropolia Center of the UOC of USA, not only to view, but to understand and comprehend the gravity and pain of the war in Ukraine.

Please find the time to make your own pilgrimage to the Spiritual Center of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the USA, and witness for yourself the exhibit of TRUTH.

The exhibit is located on the grounds of the St. Andrew Memorial Church through October 15, 2022.
